Privacy Policy

This Policy describes what personal data the Adza classifieds platform collects and processes, for what purposes, and what rights users have.

The platform complies with the Law of Georgia on Personal Data Protection (2024 edition) and follows GDPR-aligned principles: data minimisation, purpose limitation, transparency, and security.

1. Data we collect

1.1. Account data

  • name or alias;
  • email;
  • hashed password;
  • login history and authentication activity;
  • interface language.

1.2. Ad data

  • title, description, price, category;
  • photos and videos;
  • location (city, region, coordinates — if provided by the user);
  • contact details you voluntarily place in the ad.

1.3. Messaging and interactions

  • content of sent and received messages;
  • attachments (photos, files);
  • technical metadata (time, delivery statuses, participant identifiers);
  • support requests.

Messages pass automated checks for spam and violations. Access to individual messages is allowed only where required by law or when needed for moderation, safety, or handling complaints.

We do not use message content for ad targeting.

1.4. Technical data

  • IP address, device and browser data;
  • information about logins, errors, and security logs;
  • cookie files (functional, analytics, and marketing — the latter only with consent).

2. Purposes and legal bases

2.1. Contract / service provision

  • registration and authentication;
  • publishing, editing, and moderating ads;
  • operating chat and support;
  • service-related notifications.

2.2. Operator legitimate interest

  • ensuring security and stability;
  • preventing fraud and abuse;
  • protecting user rights;
  • improving platform functionality;
  • conducting aggregated anonymous analytics.

2.3. User consent

  • analytics and marketing cookies;
  • certain notifications;
  • sharing data with analytics services.

2.4. Legal obligation

  • complying with Georgian law;
  • responding to requests from competent authorities.

3. Sharing and cross-border processing

We may share data with vendors who help operate the platform:

  • hosting and infrastructure;
  • analytics services (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel — only with consent);
  • email delivery services.

Transfers outside Georgia may occur to the EU or US where adequate privacy safeguards are in place (e.g., standard contractual clauses or provider certification).

We do not sell personal data.

4. Retention periods

4.1. Account

Retained while the account is active.

After a deletion request, data is deleted or anonymized within 30 days unless otherwise required by law.

4.2. Ads and media

Retention period: publication time + up to 24 months after removal.

4.3. Messaging and support

Retention: up to 24 months after the last message.

4.4. Cookies and consent settings

Consent settings are kept for up to 6 months.

5. Your rights

  • access your data;
  • rectify inaccuracies;
  • delete data (within legal limits);
  • restrict processing;
  • data portability (where applicable);
  • object to processing;
  • withdraw consent;
  • lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia.
